In the early hours of this morning Nottingham experienced the aftershock of the earthquake which originated in Lincolnshire. If, like me, you were woken by the bed shaking and feeling like the house had been hit by a lorry then you will know how disturbing it was.
Thanks to the Internet I was quickly able to establish that the tremors were not directed personally at me and confirm that people in many regions of England had experienced the same disturbance. The BBC News and SKY News websites were able to confirm that there was no imminent danger and that I was not imagining things going bump in the night.
Don’t ask me why I was ’sad’ enough to have my laptop under the bed and even consider logging on at that time in the morning! However, all I wanted to say was that in these times of technology, gadgets and gismo’s I was relieved that the Internet was able to provide all the answers I needed at the flick of a mouse, proving again the power of communication.

Internet sales have gone through the roof and it’s official! An article posted on the BBC News website today indicates that January sales are up 75% compared with the same month last year. This amounts to some £4.5bn in sales. Key sectors where sales grew were electrical goods and clothing, maintaining the year on year growth that they have enjoyed over recent years.

IT4B have recently completed the upgrade on the site for Premier Embroidery www.premierembroidery.co.uk enabling this former catalogue site to take on-line payments. Other features added include a new section for schools and a customisation feature enabling customers to upload logos and personalisation to their chosen products at point of sale.
The site has performed well in the past 6 months encouraging business owner Ian to make the decision to upgrade the level of service available to on-line customers. Premier Embroidery, as one of the leading suppliers of workwear and corporate wear in Nottinghamshire, understand the benefits of reviewing their website on a regular basis to ensure information available is relevant and services are easy to access.
The recent upgrade will make it easier for buyers to view, select, customise and buy products in this one stop on-line shop saving them time and after all time is money. Of course all this is backed up by the excellent customer service provided by Ian and his team.

How does your business sell it’s products? Directly -shop/party-plan/sales agents/door -to-door or indirectly- catalogues/flyers/adverts?
The options are endless, but the reality is that the time, effort and expense involved in generating business is a heavy ‘cost’ for any business. We can demonstrate another way to build your business sales and encourage growth in the value of those sales by using powerful Internet tools and software.
Consider the opportunity to grow your business in another dimension. e-Commerce websites (or on-line shops) are not just for ‘big corporates ‘. A growing number of small businesses and even established larger ones who have previously shunned the web are now realising the potential of on-line catalogues /on-line shops as a way of displaying their goods. Whether you sell direct to the consumer or deal purely business to business the key is making potential buyers aware of your website, allowing them to view your products quickly and easily, letting them understand the benefits and see the features of the products and ultimately making it easy for them to buy.

Online auction site eBay has said it plans to overhaul its feedback system and will ban sellers from leaving negative comments about buyers.
EBay said problems were occurring, and slowing down trade, when buyers left negative comments about sellers who then retaliated with their own views.
From May, those selling on eBay will not be able to leave unfavourable or neutral messages about buyers.
