Desire and Aspire (Women in Enterprise) was the recent event co-ordinated by Vision Development in partnership with EMDA (East Midlands Development Agency) and NBV. IT4B exhibited at this women only event (although a couple of men did manage to sneak in!) and would like to thank the organisers for allowing us to join in the fun on this great and inspirational day.

Women entrepreneurs including business start-ups were able to attend a variety of workshops to help boost their confidence, inspire them into action and generally prepare them for the world of business. The event was both relaxed and entertaining and what appealed to us was how open and friendly everyone was, from exhibitors, staff on the day to the visitors who embraced the opportunity to network and participate in a range of activities.

One of the highlights was a guest spot by Janet Rose of Belly Dance World and as the name suggests this great womens mentor once again had everyone in the room wriggling and giggling. Some of us are now becoming proficient in this discipline as Janet has appeared at a couple of events recently. (So where do we buy those belts with bells on again?)
