Smart Women is the company set up by local marketing guru Francine Pickering. The Smart Women website www.womengetsmart.co.uk is becoming increasingly well known and is particularly useful for budding entrepreneurs and business women. The website keeps visitors informed about local networking events and also features news and information about products and services that are specifically for women.
The Showcase-Marketplace will take place on 7th May at Kelham Hall in Newark. This is a great opportunity for women to meet up, network and visit exhibitors stands. IT4B will be exhibiting at the event giving us a chance to introduce our website services, including logo design through to e-commerce solutions. Of course we are also looking forward to lots of networking with fellow visitors.

Following an horrendous summer and increased interest rates, retailers now face stiff competition from Internet companies, in the run up to Christmas.
A report issued by USwitch confirmed that by 2020 internet shopping will account for almost 40 per cent of all UK retail sales. This is a stark contrast to figures released in 2002, which showed only 2% of sales were conducted online.
USwitch confirmed that it expected Internet sales to reach £40 billion in 2007, accounting for 15% of overall retail sales. By 2020, this figure is set to rise to £162 billion.
